On Sunday, June 12, BIO President and CEO Dr. Michelle McMurry-Heath was awarded the BioGENEius Innovators Woman of the Year.
Seema Kumar, Global Head, Office of Innovation, Global Health and Scientific Engagement at Johnson & Johnson, presented the award to her ahead of the 2022 BIO International Convention in San Diego.
Speaking to a group of Junior BioGENEius students, Dr. McMurry-Heath shared career advice, how she’s handled adversity, and her path from the lab to the C-suite.
The BioGENEius Challenge provides outstanding regional high school students with an opportunity to compete and be recognized for their distinguished biotechnology research. The 2022 winner will be recognized on Tuesday, June 14, at the BIO International Convention; Johnson & Johnson’s Kumar will present the award ahead of Tuesday’s keynote session.
