Dr. Michelle McMurry-Heath, President and CEO of the Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO), has been included in Washingtonian Magazine’s 2022 list of Washington D.C.’s 500 most Influential People.
Under Dr. McMurry-Heath’s leadership, BIO has helped facilitate collaborations between companies that were critical in 1,000-plus Covid research-and-development programs, Washingtonian said.
The Washingtonian Magazine’s list for DC’s 500 Most Influential People includes experts and advocates who play major roles in policy debates outside the government. “The nation’s capital is full of people who aren’t elected but who shape the laws that govern the country and ultimately affect the course of history,” Washingtonian explains.
